When the sun goes down, an entirely different forest comes to life.
Join us after dark for a guided UV Night Hike through Mushroom Mountain's trails as we explore the hidden world of fluorescent mushrooms, glowing plants, insects, lichens, fungi, and other natural wonders that reveal themselves under ultraviolet light.
Using special-spectrum UV flashlights, we'll search for species that transform into brilliant shades of electric blue, neon green, fiery red, and glowing yellow. Along the way, you'll learn why some organisms fluoresce, the science behind UV light, and how researchers, naturalists, and mushroom hunters use this fascinating phenomenon to see the forest in a completely new way.
This family-friendly adventure combines mycology, photography, and a little bit of magic as we discover colors and patterns that remain invisible during the day. You'll also learn tips and techniques for photographing your glowing discoveries, helping you capture the incredible sights you'll encounter along the trail.
