• Oyster mushroom fruiting kits (indoor or MycoGarden)

• Lion’s Mane indoor kits
These species are fast, forgiving, and perform well across a range of conditions.
Do I need prior experience to grow mushrooms with your kits?
No experience needed. Our fruiting kits are designed for beginners and come with clear instructions. If questions come up, our team is happy to help troubleshoot:hello@mushroommountain.com or 864-859-3080
How do I care for an indoor fruiting kit (block)?
Most indoor kits need:

• Daily misting to maintain humidity

• Indirect light (no direct sunlight)

• Fresh air daily to prevent CO₂ buildup

After harvesting, let the block rest 10–14 days without watering, then resume misting to encourage another flush.
How do MycoGarden fruiting kits work?
MycoGarden kits are designed for outdoor mushroom beds. They are planted right into soil. . Once established, these kits often behave like perennials, fruiting seasonally for as long as nutrients are available.
How long does it take to see mushrooms?
• Indoor fruiting kits: Often 1–3 weeks after starting care

• MycoGarden kits: Typically fruit seasonally, sometimes several months after planting

• Fruiting logs: Usually 6–18 months before first fruiting, then recurring for years

Timing varies by species, temperature, and conditions.
How many mushrooms will I get from a kit?
Yields depend on the type of kit:

• Indoor blocks: Often 2–3 pounds total over 2–3 flushes

• MycoGarden kits: Multiple seasonal harvests over time

• Fruiting logs: Several pounds per year for 2–5+ years, depending on log size and species

How many flushes will an indoor fruiting kit produce?
Most indoor kits produce 2–3 flushes with proper care. Allow a rest period between flushes to recharge the mycelium.
What if my kit isn’t producing mushrooms yet?
Common reasons include:
• Low humidity
• Not enough fresh air
• Temperature outside the species’ preferred range
• The kit needs more time

What should I do if I see mold?
Mold can occasionally occur. If it’s localized (in only one spot):
• Remove the affected area with a clean utensil
• Lightly treat the spot with a 1:10 bleach-to-water solution
• Improve airflow and avoid stagnant moisture

If contamination spreads quickly, contact us with photos: hello@mushroommountain.com or 864-859-3080
When should I harvest my mushrooms?
Harvest mushrooms when they look fresh and fully formed but before they overmature. For oysters, that’s usually right before the caps begin to curl upward.
How do I store mushrooms?
Store fresh mushrooms in a paper bag in the refrigerator. Paper allows them to breathe and helps extend freshness. Avoid plastic bags and sealed containers.
What if my kit doesn’t produce or arrives damaged?
Our spawn is guaranteed to fruit when instructions are followed (excluding clearly marked experimental products). If something looks off when your kit arrives, or you’re having trouble, contact us with photos and we’ll help make it right: hello@mushroommountain.comor 864-859-3080
