Grow Mushrooms. Grow Soil. Grow Life.

Plant it. Water it. Watch it grow.

The Phoenix Oyster MycoGarden Fruiting Kit is a resilient, fast-growing mushroom that thrives almost anywhere. Just bury the block, water well, and in a matter of weeks, you’ll see clusters of creamy-gray Phoenix Oysters rising through the soil, ready to harvest and enjoy.

Phoenix Oyster - (Pleurotus pulmonarius) mushrooms are the true summer oyster, that prefer warmer temperatures and can be distinguished from white-spored P.ostreatus with their beautiful lilac colored spore-prints. Most strains have all white fruitbodies, and this one is no exception. This strain was originally isolated from the ID tables at Oconee State Park, South Carolina growing out of a Virginia Pine branch. This culture is great for mycoremediation projects and can also convert piles of conifer mulch and stumps into soil , and has shown high activity in breaking down herbicides. This mushroom is a treat to eat, has a soft, velvety and sweet flavor reminiscent of anise and is super easy to grow during the warmer months of the year!

Loved by both beginners and seasoned growers, this adaptable strain is known for its dependability and generous yields. Beneath the surface, the mycelium works wonders—breaking down organic matter, improving soil structure, and nurturing a healthier, more vibrant garden.

Hardy, generous, and forgiving — the mushroom that grows with you.
