This October, join us for The Haunted Mycelium Tour — a special Halloween-season experience at Mushroom Mountain that explores the darker, stranger side of the fungal world. Beneath the fallen leaves and twisting roots, mycelium weaves an underground web of life… and mystery.

During this 90-minute guided adventure, you’ll:

• Discover the spooky secrets of fungi that feed on the forest’s dead and bring it back to life
• Watch a live log inoculation demonstration (it’s less creepy than it sounds… mostly)
• Wander our woodland mushroom trail, where the forest whispers and the fungi glow
• Learn about bioluminescent mushrooms, parasitic fungi, and the strange partnerships that fuel the living (and the no-longer-living) woods
• Whether you come for the science, the folklore, or just the fall atmosphere, this tour promises a hauntingly good time for all ages.

Before You Come:

• Closed-toed shoes are a must for the trail.
• Bring water and a light jacket — October air can get crisp.
• The show goes on in light rain; only heavy storms move us indoors.
• Service animals are welcome; please, no pets.
• You’re welcome to enjoy a picnic or cider in our outdoor area after the tour.
