The Mushroom Everyone Waits All Year For

Morel season is short. Your morel cravings don't have to be.

Morels (Morchella spp.) are among the most prized wild mushrooms in the world, loved by foragers and chefs for their deep, earthy flavor, delicate texture, and unmistakable honeycomb caps.

Our dried morels let you enjoy that incredible flavor long after spring foraging season has ended. Rehydrate them for sauces, soups, pasta, risotto, eggs, pizza, or anywhere you want to turn an ordinary meal into something worth talking about.

Available whole or powdered, so you can cook with them exactly the way you want.

🍄 Why You'll Love Them

  • 🌲 Deep Woodland Flavor – Rich, earthy, nutty, and intensely savory.
  • 👨🍳 Chef-Favorite Mushroom – Morels pair beautifully with butter, cream, wine, herbs, eggs, meats, and pasta.
  • 💧 Easy to Rehydrate – Dried whole morels quickly return to a tender, meaty texture.
  • 🥄 Nothing Goes to Waste – Save the flavorful soaking liquid for sauces, soups, gravies, and risotto.
  • 🍄 Available Whole or Powdered – Use whole mushrooms as the star of a dish or powder to add concentrated morel flavor.

What Do Morels Taste Like?

Morels have a rich, earthy and nutty flavor with an incredible savory depth that's difficult to compare to other mushrooms.

They're particularly delicious with:

  • Butter and cream
  • Garlic and shallots
  • Fresh thyme and parsley
  • White wine
  • Pasta and risotto
  • Eggs
  • Beef and poultry
  • Pizza
  • Cream sauces
  • Grilled cheese

Around Mushroom Mountain, everybody seems to have their own favorite way to eat them.

Billie tops homemade pizzas with morels and bakes them in our mycelial brick oven. Olga turns them into an indulgent morel cream sauce. Brandon throws them into grilled cheese—which is frankly an excellent argument for keeping dried morels in the pantry at all times.

💧 How to Rehydrate Whole Morels

  1. Place dried morels in a bowl.
  2. Cover completely with warm to hot water.
  3. Allow them to soak until soft and fully rehydrated.
  4. Remove the mushrooms and gently rinse if necessary.
  5. Strain the soaking liquid through a fine filter to remove any grit.
  6. Save that liquid!

Morel soaking liquid is packed with flavor and makes an incredible addition to sauces, soups, gravies, and risotto.

Always cook morels thoroughly before eating. Do not consume morels raw or undercooked.

🥄 How to Use Morel Powder

Morel powder gives you concentrated mushroom flavor without rehydrating whole mushrooms.

Add it directly to:

  • Cream sauces
  • Soups
  • Gravies
  • Risotto
  • Pasta sauces
  • Compound butter
  • Seasoning blends
  • Meat and vegetable dishes

Start with a small amount and add more to taste—the flavor becomes wonderfully rich as it cooks.

Toast slices of bread and lightly drizzle with olive oil. Spread with goat cheese and finish each crostini with a generous spoonful of buttery morels.
