A Simple Tool for Oyster Mushroom Bucket Growing

Micropore tape is one of those inexpensive little supplies that makes oyster mushroom bucket cultivation easier and cleaner.

After filling your drilled bucket with pasteurized substrate and oyster mushroom spawn, place micropore tape over the fruiting holes during colonization. The breathable tape helps reduce exposure to contaminants while still allowing gas exchange as the mycelium grows through the substrate.

Once the bucket is fully colonized and ready to fruit, remove the tape from the holes and let your oyster mushrooms find their way out!

🍄 Perfect for Bucket Cultivation

Micropore tape is especially useful for:

  • Oyster mushroom bucket grows
  • Covering drilled fruiting holes during colonization
  • Indoor or outdoor bucket cultivation
  • Beginner mushroom growing projects
  • Growing on pasteurized straw and similar substrates

How to Use

  1. Drill fruiting holes in your bucket.
  2. Cover each hole with a small piece of micropore tape.
  3. Fill the bucket with your prepared substrate and oyster mushroom spawn.
  4. Allow the substrate to colonize.
  5. Once fully colonized and ready to fruit, remove the tape from the holes.
  6. Maintain proper humidity and watch for mushrooms!
