A beautiful basket made for the forest.
The Woodland Berry Large Mushroom Foraging Basket combines traditional basket weaving with a design made specifically for gathering mushrooms, herbs, wild foods, and other treasures from the woods.
Each basket is individually handcrafted in South Carolina by a local artisan and fellow nature lover. No two are exactly alike. The colorful handwoven rattan pattern makes each basket a functional piece of art β sturdy enough to accompany you on years of woodland adventures and beautiful enough to give as a truly special gift.
The large forager is woven on a 12" x 4" oval cedar base, which has been sealed to protect the wood and highlight its natural beauty. The sides are woven by hand using flat, round, and flat-oval rattan in a unique combination of colors and patterns.
A sturdy Β½" flat-oval rim with seagrass filler finishes the basket, while D-rings securely attached to the rim hold an adjustable shoulder strap for comfortable, hands-free carrying.
And unlike a closed bag, the open basket weave allows air to circulate around your harvest while you're out exploring.

It's a wonderful gift for mushroom hunters, foragers, gardeners, herbalists, naturalists, hikers, and anyone who would rather spend their afternoon wandering through the woods.

Meet the Maker
These beautiful foraging baskets are handcrafted by a local South Carolina basket weaver whose love of the craft began after taking her first basket-weaving class in 2017.
She later joined the Upper SC Basketmakers Guild, where she has served as both president and instructor. Her love of craftsmanship naturally crossed paths with her love of the outdoors through her involvement with the South Carolina Upstate Mycological Society (SCUMS) and Upstate Master Naturalist Association (UMNA).
Her foraging basket collection brings those two worlds together: traditional basket weaving and a genuine love of nature.
As she puts it:
βIt is a joy to bring the art of basket weaving into the world of nature through this series of foraging baskets.β
