
This hands on workshop will cover everything needed to do sterile work indoors step by step for mushroom cultivation.
Brandon will take you through the process of germination, followed by agar and liquid culture procedures and techniques, types of equipment needed, grain and substrate preparation, and different method for fruiting conditions.
This course will cut the learning curve by years, by allowing you to get hands on practice for what it takes to be successful growing your own mushrooms at home.

An introduction from the instructor on why mushrooms are so important while taking a tour through the facility
9:30-10:30am - Germination, Agar and Liquid Cultures
A discussion of the basics of fungi, and understanding their lifecycles
10:30am- 12:30pm - Hands On Experience
During this time, we will be getting hands on with pouring agar, taking tissue samples, germination of sporeprints, and best practices
12:30-1:30pm - Lunch
1:30-3:00pm - Grain and Substrate Preparation
Here we will cover different types of grains and substrates that can be used for growing mushrooms
